User
The User page lets you connect your online chess accounts to En Parlant~. Once linked, you can browse your games, import them for analysis, and view your playing statistics — all without leaving the app.
What It Does
Section titled “What It Does”Connect your Lichess and Chess.com accounts so En Parlant~ can pull in your games and display your player profile. This turns the app into a central hub for studying your own games regardless of where you played them.
Lichess Account Linking
Section titled “Lichess Account Linking”Lichess uses OAuth2 for secure authentication:
- Open the User page
- Click Connect Lichess
- Your browser opens the Lichess authorization page
- Approve the connection and you’re linked
That’s it. No passwords are stored in En Parlant~ — the app receives a token directly from Lichess that grants read access to your games and profile.
Chess.com Account Linking
Section titled “Chess.com Account Linking”Chess.com linking is even simpler:
- Open the User page
- Enter your Chess.com username
- Click Connect
Chess.com’s public API provides access to your game archives and statistics using just your username.
Once Linked
Section titled “Once Linked”After connecting an account, you can:
- Browse your recent games — See a list of your latest games from each platform
- Import games directly — Click any game to open it in En Parlant~ for analysis, annotation, or engine review
- View player stats — Check your rating history and game statistics from your linked accounts
This pairs well with the Import Game feature, giving you a fast path from “I just played a game” to “Let me see where I went wrong.”
Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”No data is stored on any server. Account linking happens locally between the En Parlant~ app on your computer and the chess platform’s API. Your credentials, tokens, and game data stay on your machine.
Unlinking Accounts
Section titled “Unlinking Accounts”You can disconnect either account at any time from the User page. Unlinking removes the stored connection and any cached data. You can always re-link later if you change your mind.
